Racism Was the Point
Donald Trump is a lying liar who wakes up lying and lies all day.
Donald Trump is a racist racist who rants about racism at every rally, rostrum, and retweet.
On February 6–7, 2026, Donald Trump shared a video on Truth Social that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as apes. The post drew immediate backlash. White House spokesperson Caroline Leavitt initially defended it, saying:
“This is from an internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from The Lion King.”
In the same response, she added:
“Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.”
As an aside, it amazes me how Donald Trump surrounds himself with so many self-described born-again Christians who will not hesitate to defend their forked-tongued mentor unapologetically at every turn … but I digress.
Tim Scott posted on X:
“Praying it was fake because it's the most racist thing I've seen out of this White House. The President should remove it.”
Several prominent Republicans followed suit, mostly responding to or referencing Tim Scott’s post, in an effort not to directly draw the attention of Donald Trump. But let’s examine Tim Scott’s post for what it is.
What do you mean, “praying it was fake”? It was posted by Trump, on Trump’s platform, during the time when Trump normally posts his rants—so why would it be fake?
“The most racist thing” you’ve seen out of this White House? Did Trump finally cross the line? Were you okay with all the rest of the racist shit attributed to Trump since his re-election?
- His move to terminate Temporary Protected Status for Haitian refugees?
- His declaration of English as the official language?
- The DOJ Civil Rights “reverse discrimination” pivot?
- Anti-DEI executive orders?
- His attack on birthright citizenship?
- His expansion of travel/immigration restrictions?
- His deployment of the National Guard in DC?
- His federalization of the National Guard in Los Angeles?
Did you speak out against or even question any of these acts? If not, then “most racist” was just a safe thing to say after the blowback.
At any rate, after a handful of prominent Republicans mildly protested (sort of), the White House pivoted once again, claiming that a “staffer” actually made the post without authorization—and once they realized that, the post was taken down.
I have to call BULLSHIT here.
If Trump didn’t make the post, why did Caroline Leavitt defend the post?
If Trump didn’t make the post, Trump’s first reaction should have been: “Dude, I didn’t repost that racist shit!”
Restated takeaway: it looks like a lie, or at least a misleading half-truth, because the explanation appears after the defense collapses, it offloads blame onto a faceless actor, and it contradicts how controlled government posting is supposed to work.
The post was live for more than 12 hours, which indicates, at the very least, even if it was an unauthorized post, “they” were okay with it—until too many prominent Republicans protested (sort of).
ABC News reports that when he was asked whether he condemns the racist part, he replied: “Of course I do.”
But there was no separate “racist part” to condemn—the racism was the point, not some accidental end-cap that snuck in during the closing credits. The post’s visible freeze-frame/thumbnail was the very image in question, which makes the “didn’t see it / didn’t watch it” line hard to swallow.
So Trump, when asked post-pivot, did what the mainstream press has done since they decided Biden was old: sanitize the utterly obvious ranting of an idiot, and telegraph what his answer should be. But note: he STILL did not apologize. Not that adding an apology would satisfy anyone other than the prominent Republicans who mildly protested (sort of) in the first place.
Moreover, Trump’s response is, in actuality, just recycling the old “very fine people” move: condemn in theory, disclaim in practice, and keep your hands clean while the damage stays dirty.
So,
Donald Trump is a cowardly coward who cowers behind cynical culture-war conning and cowardice, then goes back to his default: lies all day.
I'm just saying
