Treasonous Conspiracy? Really?

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has released documents she claims prove Barack Obama and members of his administration engaged in a “treasonous conspiracy” to undermine Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign—alleging that U.S. intelligence was weaponized to fabricate the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.

Let’s pause here.

No one—literally no one—was alleging Russian interference until Trump himself publicly invited Russia to interfere.

Gabbard didn’t bother to explain how Obama’s investigations in the final three months after the election could have affected the outcome of an election Trump had already won.

Shortly after Gabbard’s announcement, Donald Trump posted a deepfake video showing Obama on his knees, handcuffed, in jail, suggesting symbolic or literal justice for that alleged betrayal. While the video itself offered no stated charges, Trump followed it up by accusing Obama of treason for attempting to “rig the election” through covert intelligence operations.

Trump and Gabbard allege election interference—but that only makes sense if Obama’s actions included weaponizing the laws of general relativity to travel back in time and change the results of an election that had already been decided.

Obama's Treasonous Conspiracy cartoon

The timeline doesn’t add up, but the messaging does.

It's a dog whistle, nested inside another dog whistle.

The overt accusation is espionage, the subtext is sedition, but the true “crime,” as they see it?

Presidenting while Black.

This isn’t new.

It’s the foundation of Trump’s political existence.

  • He led the racist “birther” movement—claiming Obama wasn’t born in America.
  • He bragged about sending an “army of investigators” to Hawaii to hunt down Obama’s birth certificate.
  • He forced a sitting president to request the state of Hawaii to release his long-form birth certificate—just to prove he belonged.
  • His obsessive, conspiratorial attempt to delegitimize Obama is what got him fired from The Celebrity Apprentice.

This was never about treason. It has always been about humiliation, punishment, and power.

It’s about reminding America—again and again and again—that a Black man once occupied the Oval Office.

And to Trump’s base, that will always feel like the original sin.

So don’t be fooled.

  • He doesn’t really believe Obama rigged 2016.
  • He doesn’t really believe Obama rigged 2020.
  • He just wants to point at the screen one more time and say:
“Come on… he’s a Black guy.”

And let’s be clear:
If you’re not on the Trump train because you hate Black people, then you’re on the wrong train—or at the very least, in the wrong car.

Because Trump’s train is the Jim Crow Express. He’s the conductor in the Cotton Club Cab,  the lead car, where the whistle bellows bile and bigotry, the screeching wheels sing segregation’s song, and the engine churns out Dixie-fabricated hate; hot, heavy, and always aimed at “them.”

That car is filled with the people who’ve despised Obama since the day he won the New Hampshire primary in 2008—people who were so sure America would never elect a Black President that they didn’t even bother showing up to vote.

And when he won?

It had to be because he cheated (because you know how they are).

So if you’re not on board for that kind of hate—if you’re not in the lead car, but maybe a few cars back, pretending not to hear the racist rants, enjoying the ride but ignoring the route—you’re still on that train.

And if that’s not your destination—if you’re not here for the bigotry, if you’re really not that guy, and you don’t want to be immortalized in a candid photo at the next whistle stop—the one your great-grandchildren might stumble across one day during Black History Month ...

Get off the fucking train!

I'm just saying.
